No injuries have been reported.
The Florida car meet witnessed a car accident that was captured on video. However, it seems like bystanders were lucky. The scene was captured on video. It shows a black, current-generation Ford Mustang leaving an Florida car meet. You probably know the destination. The driver lost control of his vehicle and drove into the crowd lining the road.
The video shows the Ford pony vehicle pulling out from the Lamborghini showrooms where the meet was taking place. The driver presses the accelerator and revs the engine. The driver points the car at the crowd, pointing to the back end as it bobs. The car leaps over the curb and scoops up a large number of people onto its roof before stopping in the grass at the dealership. The car rolls people off its hood onto the ground, where they are spread out and dive out to avoid being struck by the out-of control car.
Although there have not been any injuries reported, WFLA reports that one person posted a picture on social media showing their ankle in a walking boots. The police told WFLA that they did not know of any person being taken to the hospital after the incident. However, that could change. WFLA also reports that two police citations were issued in connection to the accident. Police are still investigating the accident and could bring additional charges.
Although the dealership asked that attendees not showboat at this event, at least one driver did not listen. Although the Mustang is going home, the video captured a relatively orderly departure. We know things could have gone so much worse. However, we hope this video is a lesson for the driver to not get too proud and show off. While no one will want you to drive their car, they will be interested in your car. Don’t showboat.
