We don’t yet know how many are being planned.
The reborn Ford Bronco is attracting a lot of attention, but there’s still another Blue Oval machine in the works. Ford revealed its all-electric Mustang crossover to a lot of fanfare late last year. The automaker quickly stated that all First-Edition models had been fully reserved within eight days. Ford now offers more, but these will not be available through a dealer. Ford will instead use its social media platforms and other partnerships to attract First Edition buyers. This special campaign will include everything social media, websites like Spotify and Uncrate and even Hollywood actor IdrisElba who was instrumental in the launch of Ford Mach-E last November. Ford did not disclose the exact ordering process. However, he said that people would need to keep an eye on these outlets and respond quickly if they wish to order Mach-E.
Ford did not say how many First Edition models would make it into the campaign. These extra models are however, in addition to the previously sold-out production run. According to a Ford spokesperson, Motor1.com customers were disappointed that the initial production run was sold out so quickly and that only a few additional First Editions would ever be made. Grabber Blue, Carbonized Gray and Rapid Red are the available colors. The color may also be specific to the locations these cars will appear at. If you order a First Edition, you will get the color you see. Ford has yet to say how many Mach E First Edition cars will ever be produced. We have asked Ford more than once – it is likely that its a low number. Ford could not wait to tell the world that 3,500 First Edition Bronco reservation were received in just hours. To get in line for the First Edition, Mach-E buyers paid a $500 deposit.
