This is the same as the Tesla Model Y.
Ford today unveiled the Mustang Mach–E GT electric crossover in Europe. Ford added some unique details to the event, such as the time it takes for the crossover to reach 62 mph (100 km/h). It takes just 3.7 seconds to complete the dual-motor GT engine. The Mach-E GT is listed among the fastest SUVs 0-60. The sprint is completed by the “standard” Mach-E in 5.1 seconds.
Ford’s Mach-E was announced last November. Its 0-to-60 speed would be in the middle-3.0-second range. The European version of the GT produces 459 horsepower (342 Kilowatts) as well as 612 pound-feet (830 Newton meters) of torque. The crossover can reach 124 mph (200 km/h). Ford says the GT is faster than the Model Y’s 0-to-60 times.
Ford also described the standard Mach-E, stating that its 5.1 second time is comparable to the Long Range model. Ford has not specified the equipment of the standard model, but we believe the automaker means the 255-hp (190-kW), model that produces 417 lbft (565 Nm) and features all-wheel-drive. Ford claimed that the Mach-E model would reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in the mid-5.0 second range.
Ford revealed in February that the Mach-E would have unique tuning in Europe. However, it didn’t go into the details. Ford does not detail the differences in this case, but the automaker claims that the GT will have 310-miles (500 km) of range, while the standard Mach-E will have 335-miles (540 km). These figures are based upon Europe’s WLTP test cycle. The range of the model in the USA is less.
The Mustang Mach-E will be available in both the US and Europe later this year. Not all Mach-E models are available at launch. First Edition, Select and California Route 1 models will be first available. The GT will follow in 2021. The Mach-E is one of the most popular and coolest models to join Mustang’s lineup.
