Ford Mustang Private Collection Mixes Stock and Modded Ponies

Collecting cars is one thing, but making them yours is something else.

Over the years we’ve featured many different car collections on Motor1.com. These range from rare exotics to stunning classics to muscle cars, crazy creations and hidden gems. Although we have seen Mustangs in all of these situations, this is the first time that we have ever seen a complete collection dedicated to Ford’s iconic pony car. Ironically, the collection is not from America, but from a dedicated Mustang fan in Mexico.

Jerry Heasley, YouTube This video shows us inside the garage of an unknown private owner. We don’t think this collection is impressive, but it does contain some great first-generation Mustangs. You will be able to spot non-original items as well as clones of many of the most iconic Mustangs if you have a keen eye and Mustang knowledge. The video’s tour guide explains that this is not a collection of machines that are admired for their originality. These cars are beloved by their owner, who loves Mustangs and loves to give them his personal touch. While it’s great to have a collection of unique cars, we also love people who are passionate about motoring. The Mustang is the best nameplate for making your car unique.

We don’t care about the orange Boss 302 clone. In fact, the slightly modified side stripe is stunning. The black 1965 coupe is beautiful with its custom touches. What’s not to love about a GT500 Eleanor replica with a convertible roof? The collection is not completely custom, but we do start with a 68 Shelby GT500 that has been “99 percent” restored. We are soon able to see a white Shelby GT500 2007-2009 with the red stripe package.

The blue late-model GT500 was misidentified by the camera (it is a 2010-2012 model), but we are forgiven as soon as we see the 1972 California Special, and the original unrestored 1968 California Special. You will see a yellow SN95 5.0 conversion in the corner. It has upgraded 1996-1998 taillights. At least one Motor1.com writer does.

It’s been a pleasure to walk through the garages of enthusiasts, seeing so many cars parked in perfect order, surrounded with life support equipment. This is what we need in our lives.
