Ford Mustang Production Temporarily Restricted Due to Chip Shortage

Three weeks into the new year, old supply issues are still plaguing auto industry. The Ford Mustang has been the latest victim to the semiconductor shortage. This caused the pony car’s Flat Rock, Michigan assembly line to shut down until the missing chips were available.

Good news is that the shutdown won’t last too long. According to Detroit News the factory has halted production but will resume operations next week. We have reached out to Ford to confirm and find out if there is a date for production restart.
