These shots offer a great view of the exterior, including the wheels and dual exhaust outlets.
New spy photos of the Ranger give us a first look at the cabin of this performance truck. This is a test with the Broncoraptor.
Interior features include a flat-bottomed steering column with Raptor branding at the base, and a red stripe at 12 o’clock. Behind the wheel are paddle shifters. The driver is looking at the digital instrument cluster.
The central stack houses a large, portrait-oriented informationtainment screen. There are HVAC vents on each side with red surrounds. Our spies have blurred the lower part of the cabin images so it’s impossible to see the console.
The Ranger Raptor’s exterior features a wrap that camouflages the body. However, there are no placeholder parts to hide the production look. The truck’s front features the bold “FORD”, lettering that Ford uses on other Raptor models. The bumper’s lower section has tow hooks, while the skid plate is below the nose.
The fenders are more prominent along the sides than on a regular Ranger. The truck rides on black wheels with each pair of spokes creating a Y-shaped design. BF Goodrich tires have a thick tread pattern that wraps around the wheels.
The only noticeable modification at the rear is the pair exhaust pipes with black tips.
The Raptor will use the EcoBoost V6 to improve performance over the standard Ranger. It will be either the Bronco’s 2.7-liter or the Explorer ST’s 3.0-liter. The Raptor’s ride height is higher than the one shown.
Many of these questions will be answered soon as the new Ranger Raptor is due to debut in February. According to “sources familiar” with the matter, the base price for the truck is $52,500.
