We cannot wait to see the 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor in production. Although details about the Raptor are scarce at the moment, a TFLnow spy video shows some styling cues for the upcoming desert stormer. What can we learn about this camouflaged Ranger Raptor that was caught at altitude? Let’s see what we can learn.
Ford will not be changing the F150 Raptor formula that has been a success for them over decades. The Ranger Raptor is a smaller version the F-150 Raptor. It’s designed for customers who don’t have enough space to transport such large trucks.
The Ranger Raptor has the same wide-body design as the F-150 Raptor, with flared fenders to house a bigger more aggressive tire and wheel package. The prototype’s side steps are inspired by the F-150 Raptor. They hint at a smaller version based on a well-known formula. Ford camouflage covers the exterior except for the LED headlights, which are barely visible.
Ford’s camo pattern can not hide the size of the next-generation Ranger. The spy shows the best part of the spy: the F-150 Raptor is parked next to 2023 Ford Rangers. This is a shocking size difference, which suggests that the new Ranger will not be significantly larger than the current-generation truck.
The new Ford Ranger Raptor and Ranger Raptor will be in showrooms by late 2022, for the model year 2023. This gives us ample time to observe the development of the truck and get excited about the second model in Ford Raptor’s wildly popular series.
