A manual gearbox transmits power to the rear wheels.
The Ford Ranger is back in the US for the 2018 model year. However, it has been available in other countries since 2011. The model will be replaced shortly, but its longevity has resulted in countless trims, special editions, and even a Thai version. It’s the Ford Ranger XL Street Special Edition and looks ready for racing. Ford Thailand will produce only 300 copies of the pickup. This pickup will retail for Bh.682,000 (or $20,800 at current exchange rates). Those who purchase one should have a great time behind the wheel. The XL Street trim already has a lowered suspension. For motivation, the XL Street Special Edition features a 2.2-liter turbodiesel. The engine sends power to rear wheels via a six speed manual gearbox. It produces 160 horsepower (119 Kilowatts) as well as a powerful 283 pound-feet (385 Newton meters) of torque.
Ford gives the truck a custom body kit. This includes side skirts, tailgate spoiler and front bumper extensions. Black 16-inch wheels are included, as well as black mirror caps and door handles. The graphics package is what makes the truck stand out. It features a pair of stripes that run from the top bumper to the bumper and a bold graphic at the sides that stretches from front wheel to bed. The truck’s sporty attitude does not hinder the quality of its amenities. The 8-inch touchscreen infotainment screen is available to passengers. It also includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, dual airbags and six speakers. Although the Ford Ranger XL Street Special Edition is quite a compelling package, it won’t be available in the United States. The new Ford Ranger will be replaced by the old model. A new Ford Ranger is currently being developed in partnership with Volkswagen. Ford will then be able to offer new special editions.
