Ford plans to make these pickups if the public loves them.
Based on this year’s debuts at the Sao Paulo International Motor Show pickups are doing well in Brazil. Ford joins the party with the Ranger Storm as well as the Black Edition. Although both models are concept vehicles, Ford says they may go into production if people respond positively to their aggressive styling. This look would be very popular with buyers, judging by the EcoSport storm.
These Ranger concepts both use the Limited trim for their starting point. These two models use a turbodiesel engine rated at 197 horsepower (147kilowatts) with a six-speed manual transmission.
Our Brazilian colleagues say that the Ranger Storm is a truck meant for off-roading. The front bumper, lower section of doors and tailgate are covered in matte black. The body is finished in Tuscan Red, which appears to be a darker shade of orange. An intake snorkel allows for deeper water crossings. The roof and tailgate have plenty of space to tie down cargo. The truck is equipped with a set Pirelli MTR Scorpion all terrain tires on six-spoke black wheels.
The Ranger Black Edition, on the other hand, is designed to be used in urban environments. It has a full body with dark accents. This includes the mirror caps, 18 inch wheels, door handles and running boards. Ford adds a matching Triumph Scrambler motorcycle to the back of the concept. A bed extender allows you to carry more cargo in your pickup. There’s also black leather upholstery inside.
Ford is currently preparing to launch the Ranger in America, and production in Michigan is already underway. The Blue Oval may decide to produce similar-looking versions of these concepts if they go into production.
