Ford is now selling body-shells to the first-generation Mustang, starting at $15,000
Ford has revived Mustang 1964-1966.
You don’t have to order the Ford Mustang from a dealer. However, you can purchase a body shell of the first-generation Mustang (and the convertible) and start’restoring’ it yourself with Ford-approved parts.
Prices for the 1965 Ford Mustang bodyshell start at $15,000. Modern steel and welding techniques make the new shell stronger and more durable that the original.
Once you have the body shell, you will need the powertrain and suspension to construct the car. You can either purchase these parts from a supplier or take one from an existing Mustang.
The most well-known of all classic models is the ’64-’66 Ford Mustang. Hagerty Insurance is America’s largest collector automobile insurer and it is the most insured classic vehicle.
