Ford’s Mustang-Inspired Electric Vehicle Reveals More in Ford Facebook Video

It is possible to look at a prototype in pre-production.

Ford’s all-electric Mustang inspired sport utility vehicle could be revealed as soon as next month. The automaker teases what to expect by sharing a short video on one its Facebook channels. Although we have doubts as to whether this is the actual vehicle, the clip is well worth the effort.

In August, we took spy photos of the electric SUV. However, they showed a heavily disguised prototype. Although we couldn’t determine the exact dimensions and proportions of this Mustang-inspired high-riding vehicle, some lines were evident.

The prototype of two months ago and the test car in this video show some similarities, but also some significant differences. The fascias on the front of both cars are very similar. The SUV in the video appears a little larger, but our eyes may be misled by the camouflage.

There is widespread belief that Ford will present a preview of the model next month. A recent report suggested we may see a concept or the production vehicle at the Los Angeles Auto Show this year. Ford has not confirmed the reports, but said it had no information to share about the LA Auto Show plans.

The 2020 model year will see the launch of the Mustang-inspired SUV. Deliveries won’t begin before the second quarter of 2020.
