Forza Horizon 5 may have leaked Mercedes-AMG One power numbers

The numbers in this game are much lower than the information about the AMG One.

Forza Horizon is now available to players. The Mercedes-AMG Project One plays a large part in the game. was the most prominent vehicle on cover. Mercedes has yet to reveal the final output of the hypercar. FH5 allows you to check any vehicle’s specifications, and the One’s numbers don’t match any previous announcements by Mercedes. These could be the final numbers.

We took a quick photo of the Forza screen, clearly showing the AMG One’s 877 horsepower (654 Kilowatts) as well as 535 pound-feet (725 Newton meters) of torque. It is 3,737 pounds (1.695 kilograms) and 49% of its weight is above the front axle. It is classified as an S2 hypercar, which makes it one of the most efficient vehicles in the game.

However, it is not clear from where these numbers come from.Motor1.com Mercedes was contacted for clarification.

Forza Horizon 5 may have leaked Mercedes-AMG One power numbers

The Mercedes-AMG One claims it has more than 1,000 horsepower (746kilowatts), and perhaps even 1,200 hp (895kW). This is a Formula One-related turbocharged 1.6-liter V6 with four electric motors.

We initially thought that Forza Horizon numbers were only referring to the V6 and didn’t include hybrid assistance. This makes sense for two reasons. The first is that the output is far lower than the information previously provided. Plus, 535 lbft seems like a low torque figure for hypercars with four electric motors and a combustion engine.

This explanation is not perfect. According to a 2018 report, the engine alone produces 671 horsepower (500 kW) with a redline of 11,000 revs. A later report claims that Mercedes delayed the One’s launch to modify the hypercar in order to comply with the emissions regulations. We would expect that this would mean reducing the V6’s output rather than increasing it by 206 horsepower (154 kW).

Another possibility is that Forza H5 developer Playground Games was given rough specs for the One. The team gave the car the horsepower and torque it needed to match Mercedes’ numbers.

We don’t know why the One in Forza Horizon 5 produces 877 horsepower, but we can tell you that it’s fun to drive in the game’s simulated Mexico.

For now, the game is the only way for most people to see it. The Mercedes finally delivers the model mid-2022 after multiple delays.
