Porsche’s first ever crossover is expected to weigh in at 1,898 kg (4.184 lbs) in the lightest version (S Diesel). It will measure 4675mm, 1923mm across, 1628mm high, and have a 2807mm wheelbase (the exact same as the Audi Q5). The Macan, a China-spec car, will be offered in three versions: S Diesel, Turbo and S Diesel.
The Porsche Macan S will be powered by a 3.0-liter V6 340 HP (250kW) and 460Nm (339lb-ft). This will give the car a 0-62mph (0-100 km/h), run time of 5.5 seconds, and top speed of 158mph (254 km/h). The next Porsche Macan S Diesel will be available with a 3.0-liter V6 generating 258 HP (190kW) and a maximum torque 580 Nm (428lb-ft), sufficient for a sprint of 0-62 mph in 6.2 seconds, and a top speed of 140 mph (226km/h).
The Macan Turbo’s range-topping V6 3.6-liter twin turbo motor produces 400 HP (294kW) and 550 Nm (405lb-ft). The Macan Turbo will reach a top speed at 167 mph (269 km/h) in just 4.8 seconds.
The 2014 Porsche Macan will officially be revealed at the Los Angeles Auto Show later in the month.
