Ferrari is very tight-lipped about the new model. However, we can get a few hints through this video.
Today might feel like Christmas Eve if the news about a new Ferrari was true. Ferrari’s Facebook Page shared a teaser showing detail shots of the car that they will be releasing tomorrow.
The video is only seven seconds long and includes a cryptic message from Ferrari: “Tomorrow the Prancing Horse family will welcome a new member.” You can expect new thrills.
Ferrari did a good job at not giving too much away. However, by freezing the video and looking at each frame, we can draw some conclusions about their forthcoming supercar. This is what we discovered after looking over all the details.
With near certainty, we can state that this car will replace the long-awaited Ferrari488. It’s remarkable that they managed to keep all the details secret for so long and prevent leaks in this modern age. Information travels quickly, so even the smallest hint would have been noticed and written about.
Many details point to an evolutionary 488 design. While the current car is great, it is not up to par and needs to be replaced. This is no secret for anyone, not even Ferrari fans.
Ferrari has however hinted at a hybrid sports car model, and we are curious if it is. The video shows us the drive mode selector switch. This appears to be one position more than the 488 GTB, which has five. We wonder if the sixth position could have full-electric power, even though it is unclear from the lettering.
