This jaw-dropping virtual concept was created by artist Leyang Bai.
Cyberpunk 2077 has been a topic of conversation for many people, good and bad. Open-world video game places you in a dystopian city where you must fight robots and humans to steal technology from the game’s main corporation. Cyberpunk 2077 is a lot like Grand Theft Auto in that you can jump into any futuristic vehicle of your choice. One artist even created a Ferrari supercar that would be perfect for the game.
Leyang Bai is a digital modeler and rendering artist for General Motors. He created the FerRAR.exe-2077 concept. This supercar, appropriately named, combines design elements from Ferrari Le Mans racers from the 1960s and 1970s like the 312 P with futuristic Cyberpunk-esque cues taken directly from the game.
The FerRAR.exe 2077’s front-end pays tribute to the 312P with a hood that slopes down dramatically. In the rear, the concept offers shades inspired by the LeMans Racer with its angular fins. Other unique elements include directional wheels with aerodynamic blades and LED-accented headlights. Amber taillights are also included.
The original intent of the project was evidently derived from the many automotive designs found in Cyberpunk 2077,” says the artist via email. “The designs of many of them aren’t traditional futuristic but a mixture of futuristic cues and classic design languages.”
“Many of the featured design languages can be recognized from the 1960s through 1970s, but with a Cyberpunk twist.” This language was used to imagine what a LeMans racecar might look like in 2077. I chose to draw inspiration from classic race cars rather than modern ones.
This concept is unlikely to be seen in Cyberpunk 2077, due to Ferrari’s strict licensing laws and all. It’s something we would love to drive in virtual reality, fighting robots.
