G-Power unveiled the Typhoon RS Ultimate V10, the fastest SUV on the planet.
The BMW X6 M is the basis of the RS, which G-Power calls a tribute to the old BMW M V10 engine. It was created for “solvent enthusiasts of the legendary power unit, which unfortunately will not be available in the near future.”
The twin-turbo, 4.4-liter V8 produces 555hp (408kW), and 500lb-ft (678Nm) respectively. It is being replaced by a new 5.0-liter V10 in the M5/M6. G-Power did more than just drop in a new engine. They also added MAHLE-forged pistons to the displacement of 5.5-liters. A 7-bearing crank shaft, stronger connecting rings, stronger piston pins, and stronger connecting rods. Two ASA T1-316 superchargers were also added, as well as an intercooler and a revised ECU. These modifications resulted in a 900 PS (662kW/888 hp) engine and 870 Nm (642lb-ft). The G-Power six speed manual sends power to the rear wheels. The six-speed automatic transmission and xDrive all-wheel were dropped. This crossover accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. It has a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph).
The RS has a striking body kit, 23-inch Silverstone RS wheels and high-performance Michelin tires. The cabin features four carbon fiber sports seats, a steering wheel with carbon trim, and carbon-weave upholstery.
Production will be limited at five units, and prices start from EUR675,000 ($873,085).
G-Power offers several other options if that seems a bit expensive. These include the Typhoon and the Typhoon Black Pearl.
