Also, a peek inside its cabin beyond the photos in the press.
Genesis is proud to present the GV60, its first electric SUV. The GV60 is a striking example of the unique styling found in Genesis SUVs.
The car looks comical because of its twin horizontal headlights that contrast with the bright paint. It’s possible that someone else had an idea for the GV60 with a darker color scheme.
The video atop this page was not made up of a figment. A black GV60 was filmed in South Korea by Woopa TV. It looks much better in black, and is less controversial.
This should, however, be a relief for Genesis fans who are interested in the first electric SUV but don’t like the initial images.
The Hyundai’s new Electric Global Modular Platform, (E-GMP) is used by the Genesis GV60. It debuted in the Hyundai Infiniti Q 5 in February. It was redesigned in the EV6. With its borrowed proportions and premium amenities, the GV60 is a luxury version of both.
Genesis has not revealed details about the powertrain of the GV60, but we can look at the Ioniq 5 or EV6 to get some clues. The range of battery packs is 58.0 to 77.4-kilowatts. This will give it a range of more than 300 miles (483 km) according to the WLTP scale. The Kia Ev6 GT could produce 576 horsepower.
In the coming months, the price of the GV60, as well as details about its performance, range and availability, will be made public.
