Geneva Motor Show: Live from Brabus 800 Sedan and Coupe Based on S63

Brabus’ world is full of power.

Brabus was just a few months back when it worked its magic with the Mercedes AMG S63. Now the respected tuner has even more power, because you can’t have enough of it. The sedan will not be riding alone to the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. Instead, it will be accompanied by its coupe counterpart. Both share a significantly upgraded version of the 4.0 liter V8 that has beefier turbochargers to increase power levels to unimaginable levels.

Two AMG rockets now boast a staggering 789 horsepower (588kilowatts) as well as a maximum torque output of 737 pound feet (1,000 Newton-meters). The sprint from 62 mph (100 km/h) in either the sedan and coupe takes just 3.1 seconds. This puts the two S63 models with quite a few supercars in the same league. The top speed? Electronically, it’s controlled at 186 mph (30 kph for both body types), but Brabus is already at work making changes to unlock a higher velocity.

The Geneva-bound Mercedes brothers come with an aerodynamic kit that includes several carbon fiber bits, custom alloy wheels up 22 inches in diameter, and an all-black appearance. There is also a suspension lowering kit which brings the cars closer to each other by 15 millimeters (0.6 inch).

The experience is quite different once you get into the S63 showcars. While the sedan retains the dark exterior theme, the coupe has a lovely Italian cuoio-leather interior. Brabus offers a wide range of interior customization options, including carbon fiber, aluminum and wood accents, as well as paddle shifters and a variety of upholstery options.

Last note: You can get the exact amount of Brabus tuned AMG power in E63 S, which is also due to make its public debut here in Switzerland.
