This is the Mercedes AMG G636x6 to blame. This is not to say that the factory-built 6×6 truck was the only reason. However, it gave tough truck enthusiasts the motivation to make six-wheelers from just about anything. This 2017 Land Rover Defender is the latest mega-monster. It’s a highly customized machine that’s well-suited to tackling the roads less traveled. This Flying Huntsman 6×6 was originally built as a pickup truck for Chelsea Truck Company. It is available for purchase at a modest PS279,999. This is approximately $348,230 in U.S currency. It’s about the same price as this truck.

The sale price does not include an additional axle and Land Rover Defender. This is an insane build, from top to bottom. The fully-functional extra axle ensures that all six wheels can grip the ground if necessary. The 6.2-liter GM-sourced V8 produces 430 horsepower (321 kilowatts) and is turned by a six speed automatic transmission. Skid plates have been upgraded to protect the underpinnings. Extended wheel arches provide a little more clearance for off-road tires.

The V8 will be audible through the upgraded exhaust while both driver and passenger sit in a leather-covered greenhouse. This includes the headliner, grab handles, dash, and seats. The latter are heated in the front. To make it easier for passengers to climb aboard, there are tubular side steps and a Defender roll cage. There is also a 3-inch steel roll bar outside that can help reduce the chance of injury. However, it may not be able to help the multitude of luxury upgrades inside and outside, which include diamond LED lights front and back and snazzy aluminum feet pedals inside.
