The 2022 GMC Hummer Electric Vehicle looks amazing. It has the off-road capabilities of a 9000-pound mountain goat , and the performance of a brick-shaped hypercar . We are curious to see how General Motors got there. The documentary “Revolution: GMC Hummer EV” was released recently.
The History channel will air the 60-minute program – or, in other words, 40-minutes with commercials – on Sunday, March 27, at 11 AM EST. Why so early? The cable channel also airs the DRIVE block, which features automotive-themed shows.
This docummercial is available for you to view. The most fascinating thing about the Hummer EV’s history is its ability to go from soup to nuts in just two years. This is half the time it takes for a new vehicle. GM claims the documentary will feature on-site dynamic testing for the Hummer EV in Michigan’s UP and Utah . We’ll also see inside the company’s proving ground and closely guarded facilities such as the GM Design Center.
There have been many stories about GM’s electric car development. The first is the optimistic story about GM’s impressive lineup of long-range EVs. This will be followed closely with the Hummer EV, and the Chevy Silverado EV. The other side of the coin is the Chevy bolt recall regarding potential battery fires, and the fact that 26 electric vehicles were sold by this huge automaker in the fourth quarter 2021.
This documentary was paid for by GM. It will most likely follow the former. It’s true that GM’s huge investment into the future of electric cars will pay off and the company will enjoy a prosperous new era in EVs.
