GMC Canyon Trim Levels Underwent Big Changes in 2021

This includes omitting a trim level completely.

Even though it was a facelift, the 2020 GMC Canyon has seen many changes. The most significant change was the addition of Canyon AT4 trim. This replaces All Terrain. It’s a nice change.

There are however, more changes to the Canyon, especially in its trim level, for MY 2021. The GM Authority has released an exclusive report that the GMC Canyon’s trim level structure will change. This includes the omission or complete removal of one variant.

The traditional SL-SLE/SLT-Denali GMC trim-level structure will be replaced. For 2021, the trim level structure will become Elevation Standard-Elevation-AT4-Denali, according to GM Authority.

The Canyon’s entry-level variant, the Elevation Standard, will be the Elevation Standard. The SLE will be replaced by Elevation Standard, and AT4 will replace the All Terrain level. The SLT trim level will no longer be part of the trim level structure. Denali will replace the AT4.

Canyon AT4 will be standard in the GMC range as an optional off-road package.

The GM Authority also provided details on the upcoming Canyon Denali. The GM Authority mentioned that Canyon’s top-spec Canyon will be equipped with a new grille. It will feature a more sculpted, layered design. This is similar to the GMC Sierra 1500.

Although the new trim structure is not yet official, GM will announce it in the coming months, if the GM Authority‘s dealers sources are to be believed,
