Help, anyone?
Inspiration can come from any source, even for designers. These creatives have spoken many times about their inspirations and we were not surprised. The Ford F-150 Raptor designer said that he was inspired to create the Mansory mower thanks to the ultra-sleek Air Jordan XI Jubilee.
John Geiger, a sneaker designer was apparently inspired by the GMC Hummer EEV with his most recent creation, the GMC Hummer EEV 002 Low Lunar.
But there’s one problem: we aren’t seeing it.
GMC’s sneaker design is a long and complicated story. GMC calls the Hummer EV revolutionary. We agree with that statement to a certain extent. We are not sure if the company calls the footwear revolutionary.
Geiger was fair in explaining how the inspiration for the shoe came from Hummer EV. According to him, the lunar landscape startup graphic was what gave him the idea when he first started the EV truck. This is quite shallow, we think.
John Geiger lists the GMC Hummer EV 002 Low Lunar at $320. However, you cannot order it now as it is currently out of stock in all sizes. This shoe is a limited edition, so it’s possible that the hype may be true.
While I love the John Geiger newest sneaker, I can’t help but be a sneakerhead. But we still haven’t found the connection between the EV truck’s moon-printed rubber shoe and the John Geiger EV truck. We’d love to hear from you, so please be kind and share your thoughts with us in the comments below.
