This is our first look at the large pickup with the smaller cab option.
These photos of the 2020 GMC Sierra HD pictures are not spy photos. Last month, the beefy, luxurious pickup was officially revealed to the world with its huge grille. It is almost as polarizing than the grille on the Silverado HD. We haven’t yet seen the grille attached to a Sierra HD Crew Cab with four large doors. However, our spy team saw this Double Cab on Michigan roads and took a few photos.

What is the difference between a Crew Cab or Double Cab? The interior space is what matters, and Double Cab models offer less room for passengers in the rear. This is the modern evolution of an old-fashioned extended-cab pickup truck. Double Cab Although it has more marketing flair, it is a stretched version a standard cab with small backseats. Crew Cabs, on the other hand, offer full-size accommodations in their rear.
Double Cab and Crew Cab models are available with standard-length or full length pickup beds. The Double Cab with a shorter bed is ideal for buyers who don’t need much rear-seat space. It also allows for more cargo space in the truck’s cab, while keeping its overall dimensions within the limits of the truck’s size. This is the Double Cab with the shorter bed. It looks smaller than one might think from a profile view.
It’s still capable, but that doesn’t make it less powerful. The new Sierra HD engine is still under wraps, particularly the details about its gasoline-burning V8. It will still be powered by a familiar 6.6-liter turbodiesel engine V8 that generates 445 horsepower (332 Kilowatts) as well as 910 pound-feet (1,234 Newton-meters).
The Double Cab model isn’t as well-known as the Crew Cab. And the smaller cab may look awkward with its large grille. GMC hasn’t yet provided photos of this model, so it’s not surprising. However, we now know what to expect from the HD models when they hit dealers later in the year.
