Next, add another set of wheels.
Graham Rahal, an American racing driver, is a big fan of speed off the track. He now has a custom Ford GT to make it happen. In his Instagram post, Rahal shows off the machine and says he wants “to be bold” to stand out from the rest. Rahal should find it easy to notice this bright color on the road.
This shade of lavender is not in the GT’s standard palette. Instead, Axalta has created a custom shade for Rahal. The purple hue is slightly pearlescent and appears lighter in the sun than in the shade. This makes the vehicle stand out even more. By providing visual contrast, the silver stripes make this vehicle even more striking. Rahal hasn’t stopped tweaking his GT’s look yet. In an Instagram post, Rahal says he is looking for new wheels to “preserve these carbons”. He will also work with Xpel in order to protect the car’s paint from fading.
The GT’s 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 makes 647 horsepower (482 Kilowatts) as well as 550 pound-feet (746 Newton meters). The supercar produces 581 horsepower (433 kW) at the front wheels and 513 lb/ft (695Nm) at the rear. Ford has recently introduced the Carbon Series Edition, which sheds 40 pounds with tweaks such as a titanium exhaust and a polycarbonate engine cover. Rahal seems to have a thing about purple cars, as his fleet includes a Porsche 911 GT2RS in the custom color Amythest Metallic. Although it is darker than the Ford GT, it still looks fantastic.
