Greek Freak: Chaos Hypercar Revealed with 3,000 HP and $14.4M Price We’ll believe it when it happens. What would you name a car that has 3,000 horsepower (2.237 kilowatts). “Chaos” is the correct description. This Chaos “ultracar” is a Greek-based upstart automaker named Spyros Panopoulos or SP Automotive. Today we have a full version of the car – and it sounds just as chaotic as its nameplate. The Chaos’ alleged 3,000 horsepower and 12,000 RPM power is being provided by a twin-turbocharged, 4.0-liter V10 engine. It also has some unspecified hybrid assistance. SP Automotive claims that this will take the Chaos to speeds of 62 miles an hour (100 km per hour) in 1.8 seconds, and up to speeds of 310 miles per hours (499 km per hour). This version of Chaos is the most powerful and expensive, at $14.4 million. Buyers who are looking for something more affordable can choose the “base” model, which has 2,000 horsepower (1,491kW). This less powerful version has a slightly modified V10 engine with no hybrid assistance and is priced at $6.4 million. The engines are paired to the same dual clutch transmission. All-wheel drive is also available on the pair. SP Automotive fitted the coupe with two huge rotors, 16.9 inches (428 millimeters) at the front and 16.4 inches (416 millimeters) at the rear. They were hidden behind a set 22-inch 3D-printed wheels. SP Automotive claims it will break almost every speed record. The Chaos will attempt to dethrone Porsche 911 GT2 RS’s Nurburgring speed (6.43:30), the SSC Tuatara’s 286.1-mph top speed run and even Rimac Nevera’s 8.58-second quarter mile record. SP Automotive will only make 15-20 cars per year. However, depending on demand, it may produce 100 units. Each Chaos will be built by the company, with customers able to choose from a variety of features. The first cars should be on the roads by next year. However, that is far from the truth with this type car.
