Guide for the One-Percenter: How to Change Lamborghini Huracan’s Oil

Please, don’t try this at home.

We’ve already shown you how to change the fluids on a Bugatti Veyron. However, this knowledge is not essential in real life. We are here today to share more helpful information that might come in handy in situations like real life. This is how to change the oil on a Lamborghini Huracan. Let’s not make fun of Jesse Tang, fleet manager at Royalty Exotic Cars. He will guide us through the process of changing the oil on our 2018 Huracan Spyder.

It’s not an easy task, as one would expect. However, most operations are the same as what you do with other cars. To remove the shield panels from the engine and transmission (roughly 50 bolts), you need to lift the car. There are eight (8!), drain plugs in different locations that allow oil to drain from the engine. When each plug is reattached to the engine block, it must have a new seal.

It is very important to measure how much oil comes out of your engine. Although it is not an official rule, it is a good practice to observe with all cars. This will allow you to know whether the car is burning oil.

Different cars use different oils depending on their engine and climate. For example, a Huracan in Las Vegas will require 5W40. Take the oil out, check the level twice and then go for a drive to ensure that the car is running as it should. If the red oil warning light on the dash does not blink, it means that everything went well with the oil change.
