The Porsche Carrera 904 GTS of the mid 1960s is a throwback, and the P/904 is a modern interpretation of the Porsche mid-engine race car.
Arturo, a specialist coachworks company Gullwing America, has sent us new images and details about his latest retro project car the P/904 Carrera. The P/904 is a throwback to the Porsche Carrera 904GTS of the mid 1960s. It looks like a modern-day reinterpretation the mid-engine Porsche racecar.
The platform was originally used in a 987 Porsche Boxster (2005 – 2011). It will include all modern controls, such as the instrument panel and LED lights, air conditioning, navigation system, steering wheels, seats, and iPod docking station. However, it will retain the retro look of its predecessor.
The 6-speed manual transmission will be retained, as well as the 3.4-liter boxer engine of 295HP (217kW/ 291bhp), power steering and ABS. The racecar sound will be enhanced by a sport-tuned exhaust and adjustable suspension for dynamic handling and ride height.
GWA’s custom-designed 5-spoke wheels will complement the exterior body of P/904 in an 18×8 and 18×10 sizes at the front and rear.
The conversion will cost approximately 70,000 Euros. This price does not include customizations or the donation Boxster which can be purchased in RHD.
