This is a high price for an MDX but it’s quite affordable for a luxury SUV hand-built.
Acura will sportily redesign its flagship SUV, but only for a few buyers. The very stylish MDX PMC edition, where PMC stands for Performance Manufacturing Center. The hand-built SUV was first seen at the L.A. Auto Show in November. Now it is available for purchase. It’s hand-built in the same location that Acura builds NSX. It’s actually assembled by the same technicians who brought the NSX to life. It comes at a cost of $63,745 plus destination fees.

Unfortunately, NSX experts aren’t able to infuse MDX with more power. The PMC Edition has the same 290-horsepower (216 kilowatts) 3.5-liter V6 that powers all non-hybrid models. The 9-speed automatic transmission is the same as before, and directs power to all four wheels via Acura’s SHAWD system.
What are you looking for? Will There is a lot of black and red. It’s only available in the PMC edition and is known as Valencia Red Pearl. The black trim is offset by the black wheels, mirrors, door handles and grille. You’ll find the opposite inside – black is the dominant color for the carpet, dash doors panels, and seats. The MDX PCC is an excellent people-mover. A-Spec features include active dampers, GPS linked climate control, a host driver safety and assist systems, as well as the ELS Studio sound system (10 speakers) and many other luxury items. This is a significant part of the $63,745 cost, which is much more than the standard MDX with all options ticked. The Sport Hybrid model has a bit more power. The hand-built model is likely to find homes, as Acura’s second best-selling vehicle behind the and RDX.
The 300 units will be sold on the U.S. Market, while the 30 remaining units will go to Canada. Acura dealers will begin selling the MDX PMC Edition starting February 1.
