Hennessey Increased McLaren 765LT's Horsepower To 1,000

As if the 765LT weren’t fast enough…

The McLaren765LT has 755 horsepower (or 563 kilowatts) and can travel 205 miles an hour (or 330 km per hour) from the box. The fastest car we have seen does the quarter-mile in 9.37 seconds. It is completely stock. Is this car any faster? Hennessey released a kit to increase the output of the 765LT to 1,000 HP (745kW).

Yesterday was the official announcement by the Texas tuner of its new tune for the 765LT, which increases the output to the previously mentioned 1,000 horses. This already insanely fast car will reach 60 in 2.1 seconds. It also has a top speed of 346 kmh.

John Hennessey says that the new 765LT has been underrated since its launch. It produced 765 HP at the rear wheels, according to our in-house dyno. It’s producing close to 865 horsepower in bone stock form. The 0-60 mph speed will be lowered to 2.1 seconds by upgrading the 765LT to 1,000HP. This is insane.

Hennessey’s tune includes a number of performance upgrades, including high-flow air filters, an stainless steel downpipe to make even more noise, and a factory ECU calibration. The 765LT also has subtle exterior and interior visual cues that let people know it’s not stock. There’s a Hennessey emblem exterior, along with HPE1000 badges and a serial number dash plaque inside the cabin.
What is the cost of all this additional speed? Hennessey charges $24,950 for both the kit and installation. This figure is in addition to the $358,000 factory-priced McLaren 765LT. It’s worth the investment if you want the fastest 765.
