Look! Look!

After launching the Maximus 1000 in May 2019,, Hennessey has begun production of the 1,000-horsepower (746kilowatts) heavily upgraded Jeep Gladiator. The tuner drove the fourth truck to the dunes for the occasion. You can see the action in this video.

John Hennessey, founder of the company, said that there is nothing quite like jumping over 1000-hp Jeeps over sand dunes. “Maximus 1000 can be driven in any kind of driving conditions, both on- and off-road,” John Hennessey said.

Hennessey uses the Gladiator to guide his work. He then installs a supercharged Hellcat V8 at 6.2-liters into the engine bay. The mill produces 692.1 horsepower (516.1kW) and 629.8 pounds-feet (853.89 Nms) of torque at its wheels. An eight-speed automatic drives the power.

The suspension is given a six inch lift to make it more efficient off-road. Maximus is equipped with 20-inch wheels and BF Goodrich KD offroad tires.

Custom bumpers are installed at each end to make the truck seem more serious. The front bumper has a Maximus logo in it, and a light bar at the center. The wraparound part at the back has steps on both sides.

Hennessey adds Maximus embroidery to the seats and leather upholstery inside.

Hennessey plans to build only 24 Maximus units. Each Maximus costs $225,000 and comes standard with a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.
