Please, more high-horsepower pickups
Hennessey is a well-known figure who knows that 800 is the truck’s maximum output. The tuner uploaded the video of the truck at the dyno, where it produced 629 horsepower (469kilowatts) at its rear wheels. Back-of-the-napkin math by the tuner – which accounts for a 25% driveline loss of 25 percent – places flywheel horsepower at 838 HP (624 kW), for the 6.2L V8. This is a 245 horsepower (182 kW) increase over the mill’s original output.
Hennessey states that the Goliath 800 is now available for 2019 and 2020 Silverado pickups and GMC pickups with the 6.2-liter engine. The Goliath 800 information is not yet available on the company’s website. However, the Goliath 700 showcases what customers can expect: high flow intercooler, air induction systems and custom camshafts, HPE engine management calibra, and more.
The Goliath front bumper can be seen, with five LED lights and a brush guard on Goliath 800. Hennessey’s 20-inch, 10-spoke wheels are featured on the truck. The exhaust sounds loud and hints at the many upgrades.
Although potent pickups may not be as popular as their SUV and crossover sibling, as more people buy larger vehicles, tuners and automakers are racing to meet the demand for powerful pickups that are high-powered and comfortable.
You would have been in therapy 30 years ago if you had more than 800 horsepower under your truck’s hood. Hennessey is pushing the boundaries today, and Ram seems to be following suit with its TRX. This brand’s response was the Ford Raptor. However, the Ram will likely pack 707 horsepower (527 kW). This is a win-win for consumers.
Notably, our list includes the 2020 Hennessey Chevrolet silverado.
