The Lancia Stratos is a sports car that was produced between 1973-78. It was the foundation of the highly successful Stratos HF rally vehicle, which won the World Rally Championships in 1974, 1975 and 1976. Thankfully, someone saw the opportunity to revive the legend of the 21 st centuries. Thus was born the New Stratos – a project based upon the shortened chassis from a Ferrari 430 Scuderia with a custom-designed frame.
Stratos Reborn:

Shmee150‘s new video features Stratos, the reborn Stratos, who details the car and takes it on a test drive. This blue beast has a 4.3-liter V8 motor that produces 540 horsepower (403 kilowatts) as well as 383 pound-feet (519 Newton meters). It sounds incredible and is mated with a six speed manual gearbox. Although the exact performance numbers of the vehicle are not known, it runs very fast off the line.

The Stratos is 7.87 inches (200 millimeters shorter) than the original Ferrari and weighs in at 2,749 pounds (1.247 kilograms). Although it is smaller than the donor car’s, the New Stratos weighs just 2,749 pounds (1,247 kilograms). It measures 164.6 inches (4,181 millimeters) in length, 77.6 inches (1,971-mm wide) and 48.8 inches (1,240-mm tall).
