Here’s How The Next-Gen F-150 Looks If Ford Goes Retro

The artist adapts the 1970s aesthetic to a modern truck.

The Ford F-150 has a new generation in the works. Spy shots offer a good preview of what it will look like. The new pickup is rendered by maker wb.artist20 via Instagram . It features retro styling that takes cues from 1970s F-Series trucks.

This transformation also included the installation of F-150 round headlights within the grille. The Blue Oval emblem is no longer in the middle. Instead, the “FORD” logo appears on the upper portion of the grille. Oddly enough, wb.artist20 does not include the split in center of grille, which is a key part of these trucks’ design. However, the chrome bumper adds a classic touch to the truck.

This truck’s rest has more chrome than you would expect from a modern pickup. The F-150 looks great with the shiny metal, especially when paired with black paint. Most current buyers don’t want the old-fashioned, manual-adjusting mirrors.

Photos show that the F-150’s new design is more advanced than the current truck. The new F-150 features stacked headlights and prominent LED running lights at the top and outer edges.

The F-Series had a range of V8 and inline-six engines. The new F-150 will likely offer a wider range of options. The base powerplant would be a 3.3-liter naturally aspirated engine V6. There would also be at least two turbocharged versions of the V6. There would be a V8 available. There are two options: a 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine V6 or a new hybrid with an engine of 3.5-liters connecting to an electric motor.
