It will be more difficult to not call the Purosangue a sports-utility vehicle. Louis Camilleri, Ferrari CEO, was insistent in his announcement to the new people-mover that the Purosangue would not be called an SUV. He even said “that word [SUV],” but that might have been a better term to describe the large Ferrari based on what we have seen.

For better weight distribution, the Purosangue will have a front-mid engine design. The mill will be placed behind the front wheels to provide better weight distribution. The rear gearbox will be mounted, and there will be space for an electric hybrid powertrain at the back. The Purosangue isn’t as tall as the Lamborghini Urus. However, it should be able to accommodate four people comfortably and have cargo space at the back.

Ferrari actually plans to produce 15 new models by 2022. Most will offer at least a hybrid option. Although times are changing, at least you now know how to pronounce Purosangue.
