Perhaps we aren’t far enough back from the 1980s for us to revive the third-gen Camaro.

The rendering above shows the styling cues taken from the third-gen Chevrolet Camaro IROCZ as they would appear on the new model. wb.artist20 has returned to display the rear end of this retro-tinted machine. This view is probably even more impressive than the one of the nose. To make the Camaro 3G compatible with the new model, the artist must make significant changes to its tail. The B-pillar should be higher. The vehicle has a bubble-like back view because the roofline does not extend all the way to its rear deck. This layout offers better visibility than modern ones. The latest Camaro’s taillights have red outlines and white lamps. This style vaguely recalls the appearance of the model in the 1970s. This rendering shows the car with an angular appearance that reaches a point at its edges. The rear deck is fitted with a spoiler. The rear fascia has the most notable change. This rendering now features a diffuser, trapezoidal exhaust outlets and trapezoidal exhaust outlets. The IROC-Z, on the other hand, sweeps upward from behind the wheels to the bottom of the bumper. The tailpipes are hidden beneath this section and are almost invisible.

The third-gen Camaro was built from 1982 to 1992, while the IROC-Z was made available from 1985MY until 1990MY. The 2016MY model is a comparison. Rumours continue to suggest that the performance model could be retiring without a replacement after 2023. Chevy has yet to make any official statements about the model’s fate.
