The Nissan Versa might be the one you want to skip next time you drive up to Hertz’s car rental centre. Hertz and Hendrick Motorsports announced a partnership to make two high-powered 2020 Chevrolet Camaros accessible to consumers. These cars will get horsepower boosts and a hot yellow-and black finish. The SS model is the base of the first of two custom Camaros. The 6.2-liter V8’s power is increased from 455 horsepower (340 Kilowatts) down to a powerful 480 horses (358kW) with a cold-air intake and catback exhaust system. The body panels and wheels are finished in jet black. Unique yellow stripes run along the length of both the body and the wheels, accentuating trim trails and door panels. This Camaro SS has the updated front fascia.
The ZL1-based, 759-hp (550-kW) Hertz Camaros are the more powerful. The Hertz Camaro uses the same 6.2-liter V8 as the ZL1 standard ZL1, but with a new Callaway supercharge. It is 100 horses (75kW) more powerful that the stock model. It also features the subtle number 24, signature and yellow-and black motif of William Byron, Hendrick Motorsports driver. Renting one of these Camaros for a day is not cheap. The 750-hp ZL1 costs $299 per day and covers 75 miles (120 km) per day. The company charges 75 cents per mile overage after that. The 480-hp SS option, which costs $99 per day and has the same mileage rules as the SS option (75 miles and 75c per mile thereafter), is more affordable. Renters over 25 can rent both Camaros.
