The official statement states that closely-associated tuning and racing firm Mugen will handle the CR-Z GT300 racecar.

Honda will be entering the GT300 class this year with a CR-Z equipped in a racing hybrid system. Through a joint project with M-TEC Co., Ltd. Honda, Honda will support TEAM MUGEN’s racing activities. TEAM MUGEN plans to enter GT300 starting at Round 4 (Sportsland SUGO). Hideki Mutoh will serve as the development driver. He has previously competed in IndyCar Series, and the GT500 class for SUPER GT.
