This is just one of more than 50 vehicles that will be debuting in Los Angeles in November.
We’ve seen both the new hatchback and the Type R ( as a prototype, however), but Honda is set to reveal the last piece of its Civic portfolio next month at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The new Civic Si will be made public, along with over 50 new vehicles.
The Los Angeles Auto Show has the latest information. Unfortunately, we don’t know much about the Civic Si. It will likely be based on the above-mentioned hatchback model, though we don’t rule out another Civic variant with Si power.
The Si will likely use a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine. This powerplant produces 174 horsepower and 162 pounds-feet. The 2017 CRV can produce 190 HP and 179 lb.ft. We expect slightly more power than the Civic Si, which we believe is about 220 horsepower. This doesn’t seem to be too difficult.
The LA Auto Show will offer more than just the Civic Si. We know Alfa Romeo’s new Stelvio crossover and we will finally see the new Jeep Compass. A number of vehicles will also make their North American debuts at the show, including the new Land Rover Discovery and Mercedes-AMG GT Roadsters, AMG GT Rs, G550 4x42s, Porsche Panamera, Smart ForTwo Electric Drive Cabriolets, and the Star Wars-themed Nissan Rogue.
We will have all the details for the Civic Si – and much, much more live from LA next month. The official press release contains more information on the Los Angeles Auto Show.
