It sounds lovely and menacing.
This video shows the Honda Civic Type R running around the Nurburgring. It also includes a gallery of spy photos. The car is still dressed in pinkish camouflage by the engineers which really makes it stand out.
Our spies claim that this is the first lap of the CTR around the famed track. It was only used for one lap around Nurburging by the development team. The Civic Type R is being tested in a simple wrap. It doesn’t seem to have any panels that hide the production-spec parts. The front of the Civic Type R has a trapezoidal intake and vented inlets. The Brembo brakes can be seen from the side behind the dark wheels with five pairs of V-shaped spokes. Just ahead of the rear wheels, the side sills are fin-shaped with a fin.
Attached to the hatchback at a high point, the tail has a large wing. The spoiler is located at the top of the rear deck. We wonder if driver rearward visibility will be an issue with the combination of the spoiler, rear wiper and wing. Three exhaust outlets can be found on the rear bumper. The middle pipe has a wider diameter than those on the exterior. According to current reports, the Civic Type R will feature a modified version of the 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder. It could have slightly more power than the 306 horsepower (228kilowatts) currently. The spy video shows that the powerplant emits a loud growl and makes an aggressive sound.
The new Civic Type R will debut next year, and it will be available for purchase for the 2023 model year. This will be the last Honda model year with a gasoline-powered engine for Europeans.
