Honda CR-Z Mugen will have 200 PS

Honda announced that the CR-Z Mugen will be powered by a 1.5-liter supercharged engine and an IMA hybrid, which produces approximately 200 PS (147 kW / 197 hp and 181 lb-ft (245Nm) of torque.

Honda has revealed new details about the eagerly awaited CR-Z Mugen.

The prototype, which will be presented at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in June, features a 1.5-liter supercharged engine and an IMA hybrid that produces approximately 200 PS (147 kW / 197 hp and 181 lbft (245Nm) of torque.

Colin Whittamore from MUGEN Euro said, “The idea was use the significant advantage provided by the Honda IMA electric engine, then gradually increase the torque from the petrol motor to maintain and then increase it.” The setup will ensure that you have a smooth, seamless, and powerful driving experience, he said.

The CR-Z will have an upgraded engine and aerodynamic body kit. It will also be equipped with a sport-tuned suspension, a high-performance braking setup, and 17-inch alloy tires.
