A recent report claims that Honda has accelerated production of the CR-Z Turbo. It will be available with a 1.6-liter engine that produces 160 horsepower (119 kW/ 162 PS) or 200 horsepower (149 kW/ 203 PS).
A recent report claims that Honda has been able to accelerate production of the CR-Z Turbo.
Autocar has limited details, but Autocar is citing unnamed source who claim the model is urgently needed as CR-Z sales have fallen as buyers realize that the car’s sporty styling doesn’t translate into meaningful performance.
The CR-Z currently comes with a 1.5-liter hybrid engine that produces 122 hp (91 kW / 124PS), but the turbocharged version will use a 1.6-liter which can produce 160 hp (112 kW / 162PS) and 200 hp (249 kW / 203 PS). It will definitely add some pep to the car, but it is still unknown if customers will give it another chance.
Although a debut could be made at the Tokyo Motor Show, nothing is yet official.
