The Honda Civic Type R has moved closer to production. A new report indicates that the company is also working on a Jazz / Fit Type R.
Motoring reports that the model will be based upon the Jazz RSS and equipped with a 1.5-liter hybrid engine producing 190 HP (140kW). The model will be equipped with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission that will return 3.6L/100km (or 65.3 mpg in the US/78.4 mpg in the UK).
We can expect an upgraded engine and a sport-tuned suspension. A body kit could be aggressive, similar to the Jazz Mugen.
If all goes well, Jazz Type R will make its debut in 2015 and will be positioned above Jazz Hybrid.
