Hoonigan YouTube channel has a wealth of automotive entertainment. Their latest video is no exception. The channel stepped back in time 20 years to experience a completely different performance era. They seized a 2002 Honda S2000 as well as a 2000 Acura Integra Typ R to do some vehicle exploits. This video attempts to determine who is the best drag racer. It isn’t an easy task.

Although they share a parent company together, the two are very different. The Acura Front-wheel drive is available, but the Honda Only the rear wheels are powered by this engine. The Integra’s 1.8-liter four cylinder engine makes 197 horsepower (146kilowatts) while the S2000’s 2.-liter engine generates 240 hp (178hp). Both models come stock with manual gearboxes, a Honda sixer and an Acura five-speed. The S2000 weighs in at around 200 pounds (91 kg) more than its FWD sibling.

They are competing for the title of best in three drag races at 1000 feet. Although the first race features both cars evenly positioned, the Honda wins the race with a superior launch, even though its rear tires smoke. The Honda is left in the dust. In the second race, the Honda is given a handicap with an additional passenger to help them more weight. The Acura has a slight advantage. The Acura wins its first race by half a car.

The Honda’s passenger is removed from the Honda’s car for the third and final race. This is enough to give Honda its second win. They are very different cars, which is evident in drag racing. Although it wasn’t the most fair fight, it was still entertaining to watch. Drag racing is still exciting today, even though modern cars have more power than ever before.
