This is the latest HondaJet offering.
It’s been quite some time since Honda flew its first aircraft in 2003. However, it was only recently that the FAA type certification was obtained in 2015. The company that we love and know for their four-wheeled machines has entered the light aircraft market with the HondaJet Elite. The HondaJet Elite is a business jet. It’s a Honda Accord that’s ready to take on the sky.
HondaJet Elite S is now available – a lighter take-off weight, better colors and other upgrades to make your flight safer. Although not the first to use Over-The Wing Engine Mount (OTWEM), the HondaJet is one of the few that does. HondaJet received numerous aeronautic design and innovation prizes for this design.
The HondaJet Elite S’s increased takeoff weight of 200 pounds (90.7 kgs) is one of its key features. This means that buyers can take an additional passenger or carry more cargo, or travel further by 138 miles. To the already extensive design selection, new paint options have been added, including Gunmetal and Luxe Gold.
Honda’s Advanced Steering Augmentation System, also known as ASAS (Advanced Steering Augmentation System), is another feature. This system is designed to reduce pilot workload and increase safety, particularly in adverse weather conditions. This should be considered a plus considering this aircraft is very lightweight.
The additions to FAA Data Comm, ACARS and ACARS replace traditional voice commands with text-based messages. These features are designed to increase safety and clarity while ensuring communication is efficient.
“The HondaJet Elite’s performance and efficiency have been unmatched since its debut in 2018. The new Elite S will allow us to take further steps in expanding our aircraft’s capabilities,” stated Michimasa Fujino, President and CEO of Honda Aircraft Company.
