Hulk Unleashed Mercedes-AMG GT R Dialed to 825 HP

Just when you thought that the AMG GT R couldn’t get any more mean…

There are a variety of Mercedes-AMG GT options. The GT Coupe is the standard model, putting out 469 horsepower (349kilowatts). The GT C is somewhere in the middle, and it produces 550 horsepower (410 kW). The GT R, which is track-ready, produces a massive 577 horsepower (430 kW). There’s even a new four-door GT. One German tuning shop believes the AMG GT could benefit from more power, despite all of these options.

Renntech offers an upgrade package for AMG GT R. It can deliver anywhere from 612 to 825 horsepower (456 to 615kW) depending on which trim. The AMG GT R825, which adds 626 lb (850 Newton-meters), of torque, is the second option. The larger turbo and blow-off valves are paired with high-flow filters, software upgrades, and a software upgrade to give you all that power. To cope with the increased power, both transmission and clutch were reinforced.

A few exterior improvements can also help increase power. Renntech fitted the GT R’s unique aero package. It was shown for the first time at the Top Marques Monaco earlier this year. To cope with the extra power, the new front bumper features unique canards and sharper side splitters. The special two-stage rear wings are also included. A set of Vossen lightweight wheels is included, wrapped with super sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 ZP rubber.

All these upgrades will come at a price. Renntech does not know how much an upgrade package will cost in addition to the GT R’s base price at $157,000. However, the final product should be close to $200,000, particularly the 825 horsepower upgrade.
