Huracan Performante Wrecked At Supercar Meet [UPDATE]

The driver is fine. The car? The car?

[UPDATE] HR Owen contacted us via a representative to clarify that the unfortunate incident took place after the supercar gathering was over. He was driving home from Huracan Performante when he lost control over the Lamborghini.

HR Owen, a high-end U.K. dealer, organized a supercar meeting yesterday in Acton in the western part London. It’s safe to say that things did not go according to plan. The driver of the Lamborghini Huracan Performante decided to speed up on narrow roads with cars parked along the sides in an effort to display his prized possession. He did not crash into any of the vehicles but had an unfortunate encounter with a brick wall and a tree.

The V10’s naturally-aspirated power was too much for the driver, and he lost control over the supercar with its 640-hp under hard acceleration. This shows that even with advanced stability and traction control systems and all-wheel drive, it takes a skilled driver to manage a bull. It is important that the driver was able to get out of the coupe safely and without injury. There were no pedestrians around, so the only victims were that car and the brick wall.

Although it remains to be determined if the Huracan Performance will survive another day, the Lamborghini needs some serious TLC. Bystanders claim that the driver of the fastest production car at Nurburgring wanted a graceful exit using launch control. He was a hero, but the cold tires made it impossible to stop him. He didn’t drive the supercar for long, and his ego was bruised.

Although it is not the first Huracan crash, it is still a significant one. However, the Performante version of the Huracan means that it will be more costly to fix the car.
