The production was limited to 800 units worldwide.
Hyundai has created a special version of the i30 N that brings a variety of cosmetic enhancements to give it a little more visual flair. The new Drive-N Limited Edition is available with either the standard six-speed manual transmission or the eight-speed dual-clutch auto transmission. Each plaque will be unique to indicate that it’s not an ordinary hot hatchback. 800 units will be produced, with 620 cars reserved for Europe.
One can be ordered in Phantom Black Pearl, or the newly launched Serenity white pearl shade. The i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition comes with fancy 19-inch forged wheels in a dark bronze matte finish. This complements the black Hyundai badges. The South Korean brand has retro side graphics that are discreetly applied at the rear and front to make it stand out against the standard i30 N .
The special badges at the front of the fenders are GPS coordinates for the Hyundai Motor Europe Testing Center at the Nurburgringin Germany. They complete the exterior changes. This is where all performance cars are developed and tested. It is home to a turbocharged gasoline engine of 2.0-liter capacity that produces 276 horsepower and 392 Newton meters (289 pound-feet) respectively.
You can find more red on the body-hugging front seat with their illuminated “N”, logos, reminding us of a Bavarian marque. Hyundai even went so far as to modify the floor mats with red piping and specific lettering to indicate it was the Drive-N Limited Edition. It is identical to the standard i30N and features an N Grin Shift button (NGS), which will increase power by 10 horsepower for 20 seconds. It will come as a fully loaded car, with a glass roof and rear stiffness bars.
Hyundai has already begun accepting orders for the i30 N Drive-N Limited Edition. According to Hyundai, 75 of these are heading to the UK.
