This one looks a little uninspired, doesn’t it?
Since 2015 , the Korean marque presented the Santa Cruz concept to the public. There have been many reports about this since then. But the most important news is that it is indeed happening. The Santa Cruz made a spy shot debut while he was testing in Northern Europe.
Although spy photos showed us a prototype that was heavily camouflaged, web designers like KKS have no hesitation in speculating on the production Santa Cruz.
KKS Studio‘s render is much more refined than the concept. This is good since Hyundai has confirmed that the Santa Cruz will no longer feature the futuristic design. It features the Santa Fe grille, which is the vehicle on which the Santa Cruz is reportedly built. However, the edges of the shield were modified to include the LED driving lamps within the grille.
The hood and side panels are also reduced in style on this rendering. This Hyundai pickup truck rendering looks even snazzier. The latter is a design study of a ladder-frame Hyundai truck that will reportedly be the marque’s global entry to the midsize pickup truck market.
The Santa Cruz pickup truck will only be available in the USA and will feature a unibody design. The truck will be manufactured in Hyundai’s Alabama facility. We speculate that it will have one of two engines: a 2.4-liter making 185 horsepower (138kilowatts), or a turbocharged 2.0 liter making 238 hp (237 kW).
Although the launch date is not yet set, production is expected to start next year. We can expect to see it in metal later in the year.
