It would be a big hit if a Veloster with a similar design arrives in showrooms.
The Hyundai Veloster is a mid-engined Hyundai Veloster that has been through a secretive design process. However, new spy photos may have captured it on the roads. The car looks too dangerous to drive on the streets, but the company may be surprised. Even the license plate is on the car.
Pay attention to the rear section of your side windows and you will notice the vents at each end. These vents are the best indication of the test mule’s middle-engined layout. These inlets would allow air to flow to the powerplant. They are also absent in the TCR racer.
A cutout at the front of the car’s hood is another clue. Inside, a sticker reads “Gasoline Only!” This is likely to conceal the fuel filler. Having the tank in the engine bay would be counter-intuitive if the powerplant was now behind the driver.
The development of the mid-engined Veloster dates back at least to 2016, when spy shots were first taken. The vehicle shown in these images is quite different to the one seen in the photos. This model is based on the RM16 N design , which was first imagined as a Veloster in this layout back in 2016. This model was based on a 2.0-liter four cylinder engine with an electric supercharger producing 295 horsepower (220 Kilowatts) as well as 283 pound-feet (383 Newton meters) of torque.
Future plans for the mid-engined Veloster are not clear. These spy photos show Hyundai is working on the machine. However, it’s unclear what the company will do with this aggressive-looking machine. The obvious answer would be to race, but we wouldn’t expect them to drive the vehicle on public roads as shown in these photos.
