Illyrian Pure Sport Would Like To Be The First Albanian Supercar

All things must start somewhere.

Three years ago, the Porsche 9RE fan rendered. Qendrim Thaqi thought it was a fictional successor to the 918 Spyder, but it seems he’s not stopping there.

Thaqi now wants to build his own vehicle and sent these images of the Illyrian Pure Sport. These renderings are not Thaqi’s actual vision. He is working with Arrera Automobili to make this vision a reality.

Thaqi claims that this will be the first Albanian supercar to meet international standards upon completion. Thaqi is also very hands-on in this project. We assume that he makes the designs without the help of a team. He also mentioned that he is a member of the engineering and body production departments.

It is obvious, design-wise, that the Illyrian Pure Sport’s carbon fibre body has hints of Italian, especially at the front with the vertically-oriented headlights. The rear is dominated by the large round tailpipes and more carbon fiber parts.

Thaqi also revealed some details about the Illyrian Pure Sport’s specifications. The supercar will be powered by a small block 6.2-liter twin turbo LT2 V8. It is expected to produce 850 metric horsepower (625 kilowatts), and all four wheels via an eight-speed Tremec dual clutch auto gearbox. The top speed is 375 km/h (233 miles/h), while the sprint to 0-60 mph (100 km/h), takes 2.7 seconds.

Thaqi’s Illyrian Pure Sport remains a vision at this time. Who knows what the future holds for Thaqi’s Illyrian Pure Sport in a few years? It is important to remember that everything must start somewhere. This could be the starting point for Thaqi.
